Twin Trees

It was almost noon, Robert did a demo with oil painting. I had a chance to have a bite on my sandwish and relaxed. I felt a lot better although it is getting colder. I spot these two trees while we were watching Robert's demo.
This picture was almost completed at the scene. Later on at home I added some warm color to it.

Initial passage

My first pleain air experience. It was a cloudy and cold day Nov. 19, 2010. I attended Robert Sherrill Plein Air Workshop at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont, CA.
After selecting my spot and have everything set up, I realize I was seperate from the rest of the group. I was rushed to paint the scene on my board. Later I found my palet was full of cool gray and cool green. I decided to join the rest of the group and forgot to take a picture. This picture was completed later at home.
